I am so in love with my little infant
I can't believe how wonderful having a newborn is the second time around. None of the horrible what's that noise, red bump, smell questions and all of the oh, this baby just wants to be snuggled 24 hours a day. I really do want to snuggle him constantly and have to occasionally force myself to put him down so Mizz can see his mom without a baby. Sleep deprivation isn't nearly as terrible once you have a toddler, because let's face I have become very used to being exhausted most of the time. Granted getting up every two-three hours is painful but there is also the very real knowlege that it is time limited and will pass more quickly than I want to believe. I am working hard on savoring the good stuff, and shrugging off the difficult part which to date involves more than two hours a day chained to the pump and some very exquisitely painful attempts at nursing. Here's to hoping that little D, makes some significant advances in the latching on department this weekend.
